Background

American Energy was structured to address the needs of commercial energy consumers. Our co-founders, Greg Elam and Mike Moore, recognized that corporations were struggling to see clearly in an increasingly complex energy market. As the only participants without energy-specific expertise, many companies lacked confidence in their energy decisions.

In 1996, the two combined their extensive backgrounds in private power generation and the deregulated energy markets, and their ability to provide fundamental business analysis.
